Who says that you can't prepare delicious food with spoiled milk? Try these 4 simple dessert recipes that you can make with spoiled milk and not let it go to waste.

There are times when you have barely woken up and with half-closed eyes you pour the milk to make your tea, only to realize that it has split. It is extremely common for the milk to split and this can be due to a variety of reasons including a shift in temperature which leads to bacteria that converts the lactose into glucose and galactose and produces lactic acid.

The first instinct is to throw away the spoiled milk, but there are many reasons why you shouldn't throw it away. One of the many reasons is that spoiled milk can be used to prepare delicious desserts! Here are 4 easy recipes that you can make using spoiled milk.

Rasmalai

Strain the excess liquid from the spoiled milk to get clay-textured curd. Mix this with 2 tbsp of refined flour and make small balls from this mixture. In a pan, add ¼ cup milk, 4 tbsp sugar, a cardamom pod, and water. Once the sugar has been properly dissolved, add the balls and let them soak the mixture. Refrigerate overnight.

Doughnuts

In a bowl, mix 3 cups refined flour, a tsp baking soda, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp cinnamon powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs, ½ cup sugar, 1 cup spoiled milk, and 2 tbsp butter. Add the dry ingredients and mix it all. Refrigerate this dough for 2-3 hours. Cut the dough with the help of a doughnut cutter and fry the doughnuts in oil till they turn golden-brown.

Milk cake

In a bowl, mix 3 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp sugar, salt, ½ tsp baking soda, 2 cups refined flour, ½ cup spoiled milk, ½ cup water, and 1 egg. Grease the baking tray with some oil and pour this prepared batter into it. Bake at 300 degrees celsius for 25 minutes.

Mawa cake

To separate the clay-textured curd from the spoiled milk, simply strain the excess liquid. In a pan, add the clay-textured curd, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp ghee, and 3 tbsp milk powder. Cook this on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Once done, spread the prepared mawa on a greased plate and top it with some roughly chopped dry fruits. Refrigerate for an hour and then cut it into medium-sized squares. Serve.
